Our work is about walking beside you,
holding space for what feels heavy
and helping you uncover the strength
that’s already within you.
Parenthood is a profound journey — tender, messy, transformative. It can be overwhelming at times, filled with soaring highs and challenging lows. This season of life reshapes who we are, shifts family dynamics, and invites us to reflect on our own stories — our relationships, attachment patterns, sense of self, and emotional world.
At Elowen Therapies, I offer a nurturing and non-judgemental space where you can pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Together, we explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, honouring your unique story while supporting your growth and resilience.
My practice is grounded in attachment theory and compassion-focused care, while drawing on trauma-informed principles, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based lens.
I am deeply passionate about supporting people through the perinatal stage — from preconception and fertility challenges, to pregnancy, postpartum, and the early years of parenting. This includes walking alongside those navigating postpartum anxiety and depression, parent guilt, identity shifts, and the grief of pregnancy loss.
As a bilingual therapist (Spanish and Catalan) who has lived across cultures, I bring a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective to my work — recognising that our identities are shaped by the communities and cultures we belong to, and proudly supporting the LGBTQIA+ community.
Above all, I believe in the healing power of human connection. My hope is to create a therapeutic space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to nurture the deep roots of your wellbeing.
Growth requires a nurturing environment

It’s okay to feel unsure.
Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s natural to feel nervous.
You’re welcome to book an initial session to see how it feels — there’s no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel like the right fit. -
Your first session is a gentle space to share your story, at your own pace.
We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and begin to explore what support might look like for you.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once — this is your space to feel safe and understood. -
Yes.
Everything you share is treated with respect and confidentiality.
The only exceptions are rare situations where there’s a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where required by law. -
At this stage, I’m unable to accept Mental Health Care Plans through Medicare.
What this means, however, is that you don’t need a referral from your GP or a formal plan to access support — you can reach out directly and begin therapy when you’re ready. There are a few reasons why some people choose to access counselling privately, outside the Medicare system:
Privacy and confidentiality:
Using a Mental Health Care Plan means your mental health information becomes part of your permanent health record, which can be accessed by insurance providers and, in some cases, employers.
Choosing private counselling allows you to keep this information completely confidential.Choice and flexibility:
Mental Health Care Plans only allow referrals to certain practitioners.
By choosing private counselling, you have full choice over who you work with, the style of therapy, and the focus of our sessions.
You’re also not limited to a set number of sessions, so we can work at a pace that suits your needs and goals.
My session fees are set with care, aiming to make therapy at Elowen accessible to as many people as possible, while also supporting a sustainable therapeutic relationship.
